Pioneering a New Era in Donkey Hoof Care and Trimming

I want to share a story about the journey and vision behind Donkey Hooves & Health Academy. 

When I first launched this course in July of 2020, I faced significant pushback, especially from other farriers. Many criticized the idea of teaching donkey owners how to trim their own donkeys' hooves, arguing that it was a task best left to professionals.

But here’s the reality– countless donkey owners struggle to find experienced, compassionate farriers. This often leaves them feeling helpless and their donkeys without the care they desperately need.
That’s why I chose to break new ground and create the first and only online course dedicated exclusively to the unique needs of donkey hoof trimming, specifically designed for owners, not professional hoof care providers.

My mission is clear: to make hoof care accessible, empowering, and transformative for both donkeys and their caregivers.

It is now over 4 years since the launch of DIY Donkey Hoof Trimming, ( now part of the Donkey Hooves & Health Academy) , and I continue to celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of my students. This course has enabled hundreds of donkey owners to dramatically improve their donkeys' comfort and health. These owners have embraced the knowledge and independence that comes with taking hoof trimming into their own hands, feeling empowered and confident. The trust and connection they’ve built with their donkeys have not only improved care but also deepened their relationships, making the journey profoundly rewarding for both, leading to happier, healthier donkeys.
