Meet Alyssa Berlew of:  Desert Donkey Experiences 

Hello! I am Alyssa Berlew, owner and founder of Desert Donkey Experiences in Queen Creek, AZ. I am a professional donkey trainer who is passionate about helping donkeys become well-behaved, willing, and happy equine citizens. I also strive to teach owners how to best communicate with these intelligent and sensitive animals in a way that makes training fun for everyone!

I use a blend of positive and negative reinforcement techniques that donkeys understand and respond incredibly well to. I have over 20 years of equine experience, and several years that I spent training my late Doberman to compete in agility, which has actually come in more useful when training donkeys than my previous horse experience.

I recently took Megan’s course so I could more confidently trim my own girls and offer trimming to some of my clients with more nervous or reactive donkeys. I have learned SO much!
